This Privacy Policy explains how MORTAR (“MORTAR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the MORTARverse (Mortar Alumni Network) mobile app, the MORTAR learning platform and websites, and related services (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. This Policy is incorporated into and part of our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

The Services are operated by MORTAR, located at 2453 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45206, United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at mortarmasters@wearemortar.com.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide

b. Payment information

When you make a purchase (e.g. paid course modules, event tickets, or shop orders), payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number. We retain order records such as items purchased, amounts, tax, shipping address (for shop orders), and payment status.

c. Information collected automatically

d. Information from third parties

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Legal bases (EEA/UK users): we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Services), based on your consent (e.g. marketing emails, push notifications), for our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Services), and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How your information is shared / visible

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Community content and messaging

Content you post to communities, events, listings, and discussions may be seen by other members and by administrators, and may remain visible to others even after you delete your account (for example, in others’ conversations or where a copy has been re-shared). Direct messages are accessible to the people in the conversation and to administrators for safety and moderation.

6. Service providers we use (sub-processors)

We rely on trusted providers to run the Services. They process data only as needed to provide their services to us:
